Since 2013, Candice has been involved
in the research and development
of short form fiction and non-fiction
content, seeking to merge her fervency
for storytelling with her passion for
social and environmental justice.
Candice's background includes
performing as a dancer, actor
and improv-sketch artist, training in studio
and field production and stints as
a regional stage manager.
A work-study program at the
Roundabout Theatre Company led to
modest but significant opportunities
to work with actors Jasmine Guy and
David Strathairn, playwright Nicole Quinn and film directors Jace Alexander, Christian Faber and David Gleeson.
She parlayed her skills to direct her first short documentary titled “Go Quietly” which screened at the Ohio Independent Film Festival during the week of the 2016 U.S. Presidential election.
Her screenplay, “Alternative Universe”
won the top prize at the Austin Comedy
Short Film Festival and Oregon Short Film Festival.
Candice is a member of NY Women in Film & Television, SAG-AFTRA and the
International Documentary Association.
Since 1999, Candice's community-based background involves issues related to homelessness, hunger, children, senior citizens and the environment.
